Liverpool City has over 500 parks and green open spaces, many with barbecue facilities, picnic areas, walkways and cycleways, play equipment and sporting fields. It is also home to two of Sydney’s most significant rivers – the Georges River and Hawkesbury-Nepean River. Both offer numerous locations to take in the relaxing vistas.
A highlight is the Lake Moore Walk at Chipping Norton, starting at Chauvel Park and following the lake’s scenic foreshore to Haigh Park. The Parramatta Cycleway Rail Trail is Liverpool’s main cycleway. Starting on the corner of Scott and Bigge Streets, the trail runs beside the railway line from Liverpool to Parramatta. There are also skate parks located at Moorebank and Miller.
